MEETING THE FACE TO FACE
Industry Face to Face Requirements Meet HealthWare’s Physician Portal
Pensacola, FL – February 15, 2011 – HealthWare Corporation, a leading developer of Microsoft® Windows® and web based home healthcare and hospice software takes meeting the Face to Face requirements a giant step further by making this feature automated and accessible to physician’s electronically via their Physician Portal.
With the HealthWare software system, F2F reporting is completely automated from the start. The system prints out all the necessary patient information onto the document then queues it for release to the physician to fill in the details and sign the document all online. Once signed, it returns back to the agency electronically, updating HealthWare to show it has been received, right down to releasing billing that has been auto placed on hold waiting for the signed F2F to be returned. Along with built in reporting to make tracking the F2F easier, this automation of the F2F helps the agency decrease turnaround time on receiving the information they need from the physician, and gives the agency the assurance of knowing that they are meeting the requirements of the F2F mandated by CMS, now delayed to April 1, 2011.
The built in features of the new F2F in HealthWare are of course available to agencies who have yet to implement the Physician Portal, as they will simply print these forms out of HealthWare and send as they would any other documents requiring a physician signature, and it can be used with the barcoding capabilities already used for tracking such documents. HealthWare CEO Jim Voytek comments, “As time goes on, we expect to see more and more customers and their physicians adopting the Physician Portal. It really does help to eliminate a lot of the manual steps involved and can significantly speed up communication between physicians and the agency.”
