HealthWare's Free NPI Analysis Tool

6/1/2013 HealthWare News 0 Comments

HealthWare is proud to present its new NPI Analysis Service with the NPI PECOS Analyzer. This application will help you analyze your physicians to be sure that their NPI appears on the PECOS list and that the Last Name and First Name match what CMS has on file. This tool will be useful for verifying that you have the correct NPI number for your physician, ensuring that your claims are not rejected after May 1st when CMS will instruct contractors to turn on Phase 2 denial edits for invalid NPIs of the ordering, attending, or referring physician.

The HealthWare NPI Analysis Service application can get its data for comparison from a CSV file, a Microsoft SQL Server, or directly from HealthWare if you are already a HealthWare user. If the NPI number can not be found in the PECOS data, it will show physicians found with the exact spelling you have in your data. If there are any discrepancies with the data you supply and the corresponding PECOS data, the differences will be shown. Hard copies of the search results may even be printed with the click of a button. It is very simple to use, and password information is encrypted.
